Juha Miettinen

Juha ❤️

Thank you for sharing your Nürburgring passion with us all over the years. I have valued the many laps we did together — Touristenfahrten, trackdays, Scuderia Hanseat and more. Getting into your passenger seat was always inspiring, and even driving with you between all your garages and storage places around Nürburg was a joy. I will truly miss all the discussions we had together with friends about the things that every now and then seem to be the most important thing in the world — how to drive the Nordschleife, and how to do it in the best and safest way.

At the top of the list was being invited by you and Dan to be your teammate in the BMW #121 for NLS and the 24H — sharing some of my very best Nürburgring experiences, and to date one of my most valued driving moments. Thanks for all the encouragement, generosity and good advice — even though it didn’t stop me from doing 62 km/h in the pit lane, which dampened your enthusiasm for me at least at that moment.

The Nürburgring lost on April 18th one of its most passionate drivers — one of the big boys, and a genuinely kind and very apprichated friend.

I will drive on. I will miss you, but will have a smile on my face when thinking of you. And from now on, I’ll also have a Weissbier every now and then.

My thoughts are with Juha’s family and loved ones

See you later.

The Juha sticker

For those of us who knew Juha and would like to bring him along for our laps on the Nordschleife, Christopher Bauer, Dan Berghult and I have made a small sticker to put on our cars.

It is designed as a 50 mm diameter sticker — to be a personal way to keep Juha with us.

You’re welcome to download it and share it with others.

We will print a batch, and if you are around the Nürburgring when I’m there, just reach out and we’ll find a way for you to get one.

I’ll be at the Nürburgring on 28–30 April and 24–29 May for the coming period.

An easy way to get the sticker is also to use StickerApp (no affiliation). Around 30 stickers cost approximately €25–30, including shipping within Europe.
